Translation: 'a nice, relaxing holiday in a quiet residential area' The house is beautifully located on a hillside overlooking the sea on Corfu town, there are neighboring houses, but you can not notice the hillside situation practically. Nobody can look at the terrace either. It is absolutely quiet during the day and at night (we were there in May) The house is comfortably furnished, except for a few small things, which we bought then, the kitchen is well equipped. A very good espresso machine is available. The beds were all comfortable, the 3 bathrooms modern and spacious. We needed a heater in the evenings, which also worked well. Air conditioners are available in the bedrooms, but we did not need. At all doors and windows are mosquito screens. The cleaning service came twice a week, punctually and discreetly. A concierge service is available The pool was well maintained, overall everything was very clean. We felt very comfortable and safe in a beautiful residential area, only the 300 meters in serpentines up and down was a bit exhausting, without a car you could not live there. Shops and tavernas are along the main street, enough for the daily small shopping.
Alles in allem super. Translation: Excellent villa with beautiful sea views and beautiful seating throughout the garden. Also, the welcome package is a fine and nice attention that shows that the landlord is a concern, for a nice holiday. For any problems Chris comes immediately to find a solution. All in all, great.
Ineke M, Laren, The NetherlandsDate of stay: September 2018 We stayed in Villa Alyssa for one week with three couples. A lovely well maintained Villa with a nice pool and garden overlooking the sea and the capital of Corfu, Kerkyra. The road to the house is good but a little steep. The location is perfect for a stay of 6 persons. It has three nice bedrooms, all with a sea view and lots of privacy. Good beds and nice linen. The kitchen is well equipped. The different terraces all are cozy with a magnificent view. Nissaki is a central location to visit the interesting spots on the island. Jane and her team are very accurate, helpful and kind. We had a lovely stay!
Ruth L, London, UKDate of stay: August 2018 Great villa and we only have minor comments: It would be good to have comfort cooling or ceiling fan in the main living space as the wasps drive you indoors for evening meals. If there is any guidance on recycling rubbish it would be good to know as it appears there is no solution.
Roger G, Wallingford, UKDate of stay: July 2018 Villa Alyssa was excellent, we really enjoyed our two weeks in July, we are a young family with 7yr old twin boys, who loved the pool, literally swimming non stop. The location is very impressive, with outstanding views, if I could rate 5 star plus then I would. The Villa is high up, so you need a car. It's only 5 mins drive down to the beach and local shops (Katerinas and Aphrodite) which have everything you need for a family holiday, including ordering butchers meat which you can collect the next day if you want a BBQ. The Villa has a very impressive outside area, which is cleverly designed to always have plenty of shade at any time of day, which we loved for a snooze in the afternoon. The pool is great, very good for the kids, and exactly the size you would expect for a family villa. Inside the villa is designed very well, with 3 good bedrooms all with ensuite and comfortable beds. The TV has UK channels and a nice DVD player set up if you fancy movie night, which we did a couple of times. I have nothing to fault with the Villa, inside or out. Locally Nissaki is 5 mins drive straight down, the beach is very small, but very nice, with a small harbor to rent boats. Also Taverna Mitsos is great, amazing views, right on the sea, lovely in the evenings for a family meal. Explore the coast from Nissaki onwards, its a beautiful part of Corfu with some amazing beaches and tavernas for lunch / dinner. Jane and the team at prestige were excellent, and on call all the time for any small questions or help. Also we used the car service which was very impressive and made the whole arrival and departure process very easy and relaxed, I would recommend using that. Last comment take the kids to the waterpark, perfect for 6-12yrs olds, very clean, safe and a fun day out. We went twice. Have fun enjoy the sun.
Simon H, Birmingham, UKDate of stay: July 2018 To start with, the booking process was seamless and Jane was very helpful in making recommendations during our stay. Overall, Villa Alyssa is an excellent holiday rental. It is exactly as the photos suggest, well appointed with modern facilities and a great pool. The views across to Corfu Town are spectacular and it is tucked away so quiet and relaxing. We would recommend hiring a boat and go North up the coast - about €100 and access to lots of good restaurants in little coves. Couple of points worth noting: The Villa is 1km up a very tight and winding road, and therefore a car is essential if you have young kids. There are wasps as the location is in the hills but we found that burning ground Greek coffee (Tip from a local restaurant) keeps them away.
Judith S, UKDate of stay: June 2018 Excellent Villa & location but our time there was somewhat spoilt by various people turning up during the day, out of our first 5 days 4 of those we interrupted either by the pool man or gardener or just some guys that had come to pick up some stuff from the garden. we had been having a particularly stress full time at home leading up to our holiday so just wanted some uninterrupted peace and quiet, we did make a phone call to complain & our second week was better but it put us on edge every time we heard a car. We have been staying in villas in Corfu for many years & never had this problem before, the pool man would always turn up very early & we would very rarely see a gardener, shame because its a lovely villa in a beautiful location
