Villa Description

Exclusive to & fully managed by Prestige Villas, Villa Artemis overlooking Agni Bay enjoys spectacular 180 degree views of the North East Coast of Corfu with Albania just across the Water. Spring 2023 saw the total renovation of the villa by our specialist team of craftsmen, and with all furniture and soft furnishings arriving from Bali the villa now has a totally new look which has been welcomed by the many regular guests who have holidayed here over the last few years.

The villa is very bright and airy and when all the French Windows are opened, it enjoys cool breezes from the sea which are most welcome during the long hot summers.

The open plan sitting room with it’s double height ceilings has French windows opening onto the front verandas. Here you can sit and marvel at the breath taking views below and watch the yachts and cruise liners pass by, turn to the right and you have spectacular views of Corfu Town which when illuminated at night is simply magical.

The shaded pergola with a large heavy wooden dining table & comfortable wicker dining chairs is a perfect area to enjoy alfresco dining not forgetting the well designed built in BBQ area.

The new Villa Artemis will not disappoint (our excellent reviews say it all) and is sure to provide a perfect holiday for couples or families alike.

‘Highlights’ – A gastronomic paradise in a picturesque bay

Agni located in the heart of the prestigious North East coast of Corfu has established itself as one of the most desirable locations in Greece. This small picturesque bay attracts an array of clientele looking for a gastronomic experience in one of the three popular waterfront tavernas. There are 3 restaurants down in Agni bay, all of them offering mouth watering dishes. Taverna Agni headed by Theo, the Son of Charilaos and Aphrodite, who opened the taverna in 1972, his Wife Nataliya and Theo’s Sister Eleni recognize that it is the special touches and attention to detail that turns an ordinary taverna into a really great one. The restaurant opens at 12 noon daily and normally continues to serve throughout the day and evening. Last food orders are taken at 11pm. Make your table reservations and arrive by speedboat taxi service from the surrounding bays and coves each evening.

Nikolas Taverna Perikles Katsaros and his family offer a warm welcome in one of the best loved and most frequented tavernas in Corfu. The building which now is the present taverna, has been in the possession of Perikles and his family for more than a century. The building was build in 1892 by the grandfather of Perikles. The top floor was the house that the family lived in and downstairs was the “kafeneion” with the bread oven and the olive press. Serving the very best in traditional Greek food, don’t miss their Greek night every Thursday evening during high season.

Date of stay: October 2017 It is the most beautiful view I ever had in a holiday villa! The villa is big and the outside area around it with the pool, sitting areas and view is so nice. Thanks for some wonderful days with great weather! Daniel

Date of stay: August 2017 Clean, convenient, well resourced and exceptionally located property beautifully maintained. We had a dream holiday with our two children...They want to stay for longer next year and we shall definitely return to Villa Artemis. Thanks to Jane and her team for being accommodating to our requests and for making our holiday the mist relaxing and exciting of times

Date of stay: August 2017 We went to this villa with a family of 6 in August 2017. The view from the terrace and the pool was amazing, it is the best view you will get on Corfu, and we enjoyed the endless view and the continuous activity of boats, ferries that come and go. The house is well maintained, clean and well equipped. From the villa you can visit a number of beautiful little bays in North-East Corfu. We also rented a motor boat at Agni bay to go to beaches and tavernas in the neighborhood. Our family enjoyed the great pool, we had very nice dinners and barbecue at the terrace. You need a car as it is in a remote area. The managers were very helpful and responded quickly (we had some issues with water supply). In conclusion: this a very nice place and wonderful house to stay for a family of 5 or 6, we highly recommend this beautiful villa.

Date of stay: July 2017 We stayed here for two weeks, the moment we arrived we were wowed by the views of which we never got tired of looking at for all our stay. We stayed for two weeks and the weather was so hot. The whole booking process was so easy, Jane was really helpful and answered any questions we had. She also help arrange car hire. We booked a nine seater mini van for our family. Access roads to the villa were steep and tight and were difficult, anything bigger would have struggled. But once at the villa they are worth the drive. Car hire for staying at the villa is a must as nothing really is in walking distance. The villa was kitted out with everything we could need, but with the outside views we spent very little time inside. The villa could have been cleaned to a higher standard with some dust and items under beds and sofas, apart from this we had no complaints. The outside area was great, with plenty of sun loungers, the villa had sunshine or shaded area's all day. So everyone was happy. There was also a very friendly cat who lived around the villa who was there everyday. The pool was amazing and a welcome break from the heat. We had an issue with the pools pump, but a quick call to Jane and it was addressed straight away. For eating out, we ate out every night. We never had a bad meal were ever we went. Down at the bay we went to Agni Taverna which was really nice, it was higher price wise but a really nice meal with nice views. Also down at the bay we loved Nikolas Taverna, the food here was amazing and well priced. Corfu is a amazing island, we took a boat hire for a few hours from the local bay at Agni, We had a great time out on the waves for a few hours and got round to some amazing quiet bay, we were really disappointed when we returned and got hit for a big fuel bill, despite only have the boat for a few hours. The only issue we had was the whole island was plagued with wasps at the time of our visit, this might have been the hot weather and the time of year. Overall the stay at the villa was amazing and we were really sad to leave. The level of service from Jane and her team were amazing. If you want some amazing time chilling away from all the hussle and bussle then this villa is perfect. Our Response: Thank you so much for taking the time to write such an informative review. Great to hear you enjoyed your stay and you were pleased with our service. The only disappointment for me is the cleaning aspect and I will speak to Jo the Housekeeper about this. Huge thanks again and hope it's not too long before you're back! Jane & The Team

Date of stay: April 2017 This was our first visit to Corfu and definitely not our last. Lawrence Durrell described it as '"this brilliant little speck of an island in the Ionian," and the incredible view out to sea, with Albania in the distance and endless cypress trees, is just wonderful from this spacious and well designed villa. We had a few minor teething problems with the villa but Jane and the team responded very quickly and professionally to resolve them promptly and could not have been more helpful. Having stayed at the beginning of April, weather can be unpredictable ( two days of solid rain, which explains Corfu's anglophile greenery), although we had plenty of warm sun too. We managed to hire a boat from SoTiris in Agios Stephanos, who was friendly and very proud of his 'fleet' and the boat was superb for a trip down the coast to Nissaki. We'd recommend 'Tavernaki' in Kassiopi too for a reasonably priced and beautifully prepared meal. We'd say you need a car - and the first gear will get plenty of use on the hills up to the villa - but the hairpin bends do force you to slow down...the villa has all you need if you want to just relax and stare endlessly at the view all day(you will), being well equipped, with I would say an exceptional outside area that is one of the best we've had. Corfu Town is around 45 minutes drive away - a beautiful town, reminiscent of Italy - with all the buzz you'd want. And if you don't want buzz, walk out of the villa, down the hill and turn left to follow the mountain road, until you can view the sea and feel the incredible peace and tranquillity, as you walk past rows of olive groves and spring flowers.

Date of stay: April 2017 Artemis is a well appointed villa set up high on the hill above Agni Bay with breathtaking views. We would certainly book again as we enjoyed our stay here and for a family of 4 it is very comfortable. Artemis could accommodate 6 easily. Directions to the villa were good and Prestige looked after us well. Hire car was an old jalopi but we enjoyed travelling around the island in a convertible. We went to so many tavernas but our 3 favourites were Agnabri up in the hills near Spartillas, Fagopotion in Stefanos, and we also liked Taverna Kaloura. I love swimming in the sea and am well used to bracing water being brought up on holidays in Pembs. We went out of season (hence coldish water) and so all the beach tavernas were closed. We will return to Corfu very soon I hope to get the in-season experience. One thought would be that driving around this stretch of the coast is not a good idea for nervous drivers.
