We were delighted to discover Villa Gregory, perfectly positioned on the water’s edge of one of Corfu’s most enchanting bays. Just a pebble’s throw from the childhood home of the Durrells, this much-loved villa has been cherished by the same family for more than forty years. In 2015, it underwent a full renovation, sensitively preserving its traditional Corfiot exterior while transforming the interior into a contemporary haven with high-spec finishes and exceptional comfort.
One of the villa’s greatest highlights is the covered veranda, stretching along half the seafront façade. This peaceful, shaded retreat is the ideal place to relax with a book, watch the yachts drift across the bay, and enjoy the gentle sound of the waves meeting the pebbles below.
Inside, the villa offers impressively spacious open-plan living, with a bright sitting room, dining area and modern kitchen at its heart. The house is thoughtfully divided into two wings for added privacy:
To one side:
A generous Master Bedroom with French doors opening onto a sea-view patio, plus a modern en-suite shower room.
An adjacent Twin Bedroom, also with an en-suite shower room and French doors leading to the rear garden.
A small utility room with washing machine and ironing facilities.
To the opposite wing:
A large family bedroom featuring two 3/4 beds, an additional single cabin bed with pull-out single, and a charming Juliet balcony just five metres from the water’s edge. A further Double Bedroom. Both bedrooms share a contemporary family bath/shower room.

The picturesque horseshoe bay of Kalami is the home of the White House once the home of Lawrence Durrell and his Wife which is now a high class waterfront restaurant famed for their seafood delicacies, fresh vegetables and chilled local wine. The tiny street which backs the sweeping pebble beach has a small collection of small restaurants & beach side bars including Thomas Place & Sea Breeze Seaside Bar, a couple of mini markets and beach boutiques.

The location is fantastic and we were easily able to walk to the nearby tavernas and there is a great grocery shop (Super Mario) very close to the villa. The grounds of the villa are very spacious and inside was immaculately presented with big, clean rooms with wonderful touches throughout. We loved reading about the history of the villa. We were travelling with small children and there even some small toys that kept them entertained. The property is very private and felt very safe. I would highly recommend Villa Gregory and hope to stay there again myself one day.

A mirror in the three bed room would be very helpful. We were unable to close our shutters in the three bedroom as the plumbago had grown right up to above the windowsill. The gardener came the day before we left and cut it back. We spent many times just sitting on the veranda loving watching everything going on in the bay. The situation of villa Gregory is perfect!! Our Response: Thank you very much for your review Ruth - we're so glad you loved Villa Gregory! Having contacted the owner who stayed there prior to yourself, she did say that the dishwasher door was rather stiff and needs to be closed firmly. Gregory was very well equipped with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. As a constructive comment it would be lovely to have glasses for champagne and Prosecco rather than the wine glasses provided, other than that we had everything we needed and more. We would have no hesitation in recommending Villa Gregory to our friends or any prospective guests as we had a fabulous stay thank you. Prestige Villas made our booking arrangements simple and were first class in all respects.
