We were extremely excited to discover Villa Gregory on the waters edge of what is one of Corfu’s most magical bays. Situated just a pebbles throw from the childhood home of the Durrells, Villa Gregory has been a treasured holiday home and has remained in the same family for over forty years. It had remained in it’s original state until 2015 when it underwent a complete renovation project which has resulted, from the exterior a traditional Corfiot style villa but inside the ultimate in contemporary living with high spec fixtures and fittings and is an extremely comfortable home.

The covered veranda which spans half the length of the water side of the property is a paradise, from here you can relax in the shade with a book and watch the yachts in the bay, listening to the sound of the water lapping against the pebbles.

The spacious interior comprises of a very large open-plan sitting room, dining room and kitchen. The house is split into two wings, to one side of the spacious central living area you will find the large Master Bedroom with French Doors onto the patio overlooking the sea plus an en-suite shower room. The Twin Room is adjacent also with an en-suite shower room and French Doors to the rear garden. There is a small utility room with washing machine and ironing facilities. On the opposite side of the living area you will find a huge family bedroom with two double beds and a further single cabin bed with extra pull out singe, from this room there is a Juliet balcony just 5m from the waters edge. The fourth bedroom is a Double and both of these rooms share the modern family bath / shower room.

Bedroom 3 – Large Family Room with 2 x 3/4 Beds (small doubles) + 1 Single Cabin Bed, bedside tables, fitted wardrobes, Juliet balcony overlooking the water (This rooms sleeps either up to 3 adults or 1 Adult + 4 Children sharing each of the two 3/4 Beds.
Bedroom 4 – Double bed, bedside table, fitted wardrobes & window overlooking the water

Bathrooms:
En-suite to Master bedroom & en-suite to Twin. Family Room & Double share the family bath / shower room

Kitchen:
Fully fitted contemporary kitchen with electric oven, ceramic hob, overhead extractor fan, dishwasher and American fridge/freezer.

Living Room:
Large Sitting Room with comfortable wicker sofas, coffee table and wall-mounted TV, French windows onto balcony with table, chairs.

Open plan Dining Area with table for 8

Accessibility: The villa has three steps down from the driveway and two steps down to the garden.
Outside: Dining furniture seating 8 for alfresco dining and BBQ. ​

The picturesque horseshoe bay of Kalami is the home of the White House once the home of Lawrence Durrell and his Wife which is now a high class waterfront restaurant famed for their seafood delicacies, fresh vegetables and chilled local wine. The tiny street which backs the sweeping pebble beach has a small collection of small restaurants & beach side bars including Thomas Place & Sea Breeze Seaside Bar, a couple of mini markets and beach boutiques.
