Simona, ItalyDate of stay: June 2015 The house is simply beautiful. we were two families with kids and after spending a day at sea (very close with a rental car.. 5 minutes) it was simply delightful to stay in the swimming pool, with a marvellous view, and in the garden to have a bbq. every room is well furnished and organised... for italian people we left a "caffettiera" the only item we miss. The island is spectacular and resturants cheap and with good quality food
Jane H, UKDate of stay: June 2015 My husband and 3 son's stayed in Villa Iroko for 10 nights. We had absolutely no problems due to the Greek economic crisis, we used cash and debit card without any worries, to be honest we wouldn't have known there were any troubles until you read papers etc! The booking was easy and Jane the manager was only a phone call away and always friendly and helpful with any enquiries. This was our first time in Corfu and the villa was 20 mins drive from airport, no trouble finding it as directions were spot on. The villa is really superb from the breathtaking views down the hillside to Gouvia bay and the master suite views also fantastic, and we loved the fact it was on its own floor with large ensuite. Our sons enjoyed the wifi and huge selection of DVD's. The villa was spotlessly clean and all the fixtures and furnishing's were to a high standard. We ate out on the terrace everyday, and the infinity pool was large enough for our sons 22, 20, 18 to mess around in all together having great fun. The villa is ideally placed to visit the a lot of the island, West, North East etc. We particularly loved hiring the small motor boats and exploring the coves and beaches each side had to offer, some of the most beautiful coastline we have ever seen. Kommeno resaturants have the best views and Corfu town being only 15 mins drive is well worth a visit or two. We would not hesitate to recommend to friends and relatives. Owner's Response: Thank you Jane for the lovely review and for also mentioning the fact that you were not inconvenienced by the 'Financial Crisis' which so far has had little/no effect on Corfu. So glad you enjoyed your holiday and hope it will be the first of many future visits to Corfu, it really is a beautiful island!! Warmest regards Jane (Prestige Villas of Corfu)
Alison H, UKDate of stay: June 2015 Fantastic Villa.......Very private, all we could have asked for, we will be back as a group and with our families, this includes teenage children and smaller ones. Idea with only 20 mins from Airport and Corfu Old Town....... A steep incline to Villa, but you get over that 😀
Kate R, UKDate of stay: May 2015 Villa Iroko is a clean and spacious villa in an excellent location. The airport is about 20 mins drive, Corfu old town is about 10 minutes drive and Mount Pantokrator and Paleokastrista are all within easy reach. There is a supermarket with good selection of fruit and veg and a bakery within 5 minutes drive and is open until 9pm except on Sundays. We arrived on a Sunday and Jane had kindly got us some provisions as supermarkets often not open on a Sunday. The small town of Gouvia is about 5 minutes drive away where we hired a motor boat for a day trip along the north east coast, stopping at little sandy coves and at waterside taverna for lunch. The old town of Corfu is beautiful with lots of little shops and lovely places to eat. We enjoyed Paleokastrista too - though do check the opening times of the monastry. Along the road there are olive wood and leather workshops selling a wide range of Corfu made products. The Villa itself is not overlooked (even though there is a one villa next door). The setting was very peaceful with wonderful views out across the bay and towards the mountains of Albania. It was clean and spacious and generally well equipped. The pool was clean and large and quite warm enough during the day. We were not troubled at all much with insects and anyway there are screens on all the windows and doors. Our only slight problem is that the water is very hard and although clean enough to drink you really need bottled water. We were a party of 4 adults and 2 teenagers and the Villa suited us well. If you have little children you should note the pool is not gated and quite deep at one end, but the garden is well enclosed with nice grassy areas as well as patio space. The pictures etc and description are accurate and all our emails booking etc were responded to really quickly and helpfully. I think you would need a car here as the hill up from the main road and supermarket would be a long steep trudge in the heat. All in all I would definitely recommend this area of Corfu and Villa Iroko was a good lovely peaceful location.
Paul, UKDate of stay: June 2014 As far away as you can possibly get from the traditional Brits abroad all inclusive package usually associated with Corfu, this holiday offered the perfect combination of relaxation, wonderful food and beautiful sunny weather! Villa Iroko, tucked away in the hills overlooking Gouvia, is perfectly situated just 15 minutes from Cofu town and a short drive from Gouvia village and marina. It is in the most perfect spot imaginable with wonderful views across the bay. Everything has been thought of — from hair dryers to beach towels, coffee machine to ipod dock. It really is a home away from home. The pool was a particular highlight and perfect to cool down after a long hard day of sun bathing. Supermarkets and restaurants are all within easy reach and the whole experience - from booking onwards - was faultless. Just perfect. Whether it's with a family or a group of close friends I really can't praise villa Iroko and the delights of Corfu enough. Very highly recommended!
Nikki, GreeceDate of stay: May 2014 A fabulous luxury villa with a gorgeous pool. The pictures don't do it justice! As we drove into the grounds of the villa we were blown away. A super large pool with a shallower end and beautiful al fresco dining area - this is where we spent most of our time. It has a spacious communial area and ample kitchen space. The master bedroom on the first floor is spacious with an ensuite and 2 balconies which we took full advantage of - all the bedrooms are modern and decorated in cool relaxing colours. Plenty of bathrooms with either free standing showers, baths or in bath showers so there is something to suit everyone. The view from the villa of gouvia bay is breathtaking and this is always how I spent my early morning just drinking in the sheer beauty and watching the boats cruising by. The nearest supermarket dellias is well stocked with everything you could possibly need and there is a street of bars and tavernas across the main road with covers all tastes. You will need a car for these shopping trips and beware the road to the villa is very steep. Old corfu town is only 15 mins away. Lots to do here if you like water sports and boat trips too. The agents were totally efficient organising car hire and made themselves available in such a friendly and caring way. This is certainly the best villa we have stayed in to date and we hope to use this company again very soon.
Nick, UKDate of stay: August 2013 The property was delightful, perched on the side of a hill surrounded by olive trees, very private and with breathtaking views of the Ionian sea and the east coast of Corfu. The property is new and well equipped with everything you could possibly need and the air con ensures a good nights sleep. The pool is 'to die for' and was where we spent a lot of time. Local amenities are on your door step with an abundance of restaurants in Gouvia itself, try one of the marina ones or 9Muses on the High Street. Jane ans Chris were always on hand if you needed anything and I would have no hesitation in recommending the property. A car is essential.
