Villa Malou | Barbati

Set within a secluded, one-acre plot with direct access to the water, privacy is assured during your stay at Malou. From the terraces, there’s a 180- degree panoramic view of the sea, across to Corfu Town and the mountains in the distance.

This luxury property was renovated in 2018 by an Italian architect and can accommodate 12 guests comfortably. Days can be spent enjoying the large swimming pool or swimming in the sea below the property where there is a bathing platform and ladders down into crystal clear waters.

MAIN VILLA SLEEP 6:
The comfortable living room is the focal point of the villa. The natural stone wall and the built-in fireplace create a cozy atmosphere and the spacious sofa invites you to sit back & relax. Most visitors will be drawn outdoors immediately to the large terrace with the sea view—but anyone who prefers to can stay inside and watch their favorite show on the large-screen Sony TV.

The welcoming dining room directly adjoins the living room and has a large dining table of solid natural wood seating 12 comfortably on Thonet chairs.

There’s a bright fully fitted kitchen including a gas stove and oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, Nespresso and filter coffee machines, a milk foamer, water kettle, blender, immersion blender, toaster, glasses for all occasions, tableware, and cutlery.

In the adjacent utility room, there’s an XXL refrigerator-freezer, a washing machine, more storage space for your purchases and another work surface.

A spacious staircase brings you to a large split-level bedroom with a kingsize bed (71×80 in) and an en-suite bath and shower. Passing this bedroom through a charming gallery, is the master bedroom with comfortable king size bed (80×80 in) & TV. The spacious ens-uite bathroom features handcrafted tiles and a rain shower. There’s a small nursery next to the master bedroom. For additional guests there’s a comfortable sleeper sofa in the gallery that accommodates up to two people.

STUDIO SLEEPS 3:
The studio is adjacent to the villa and has a separate entrance and accommodates three guests. There’s a kitchenette with refrigerator, in addition to the bathroom. The comfortable expanded queen size bed (63×80 in) looks directly over the grounds to the sea along with a quality single bed. In front of the studio there’s a terrace where you can savor your coffee in the morning or relax with a sundowner in the evening.

GUESTHOUSE SLEEPS 3:
Just a stone’s throw from the villa, the newly built guesthouse is a separate unit that can accommodate up to three people. It has a king size (71×80 in) and a single bed, a modern bathroom with walk-in rain shower and a television. The three large, floor-to-ceiling windows can be opened wide to take advantage of the stuning views over the grounds and the sea. A large terrace shaded by a pergola runs along the entire length of the building. If you’re craving a little peace and quiet, you can make yourself comfortable on one of the loungers and just watch life go by.

The brilliant white sweeping pebble beach of Barbati is the gateway to the prestigious North East Coast of Corfu, affectionately known as Kensington-upon-Sea. This resort has a real holiday vibe about it with a it’s upmarket beach side restaurants and trendy beach bars. Bahia Mare & Piedra del Mar to name just two, play relaxing chill-out tunes and offer a superb beachfront atmosphere where you can pre-reserve your sunbed both during the day and during the balmy evenings. Both restaurants have a superb menu and during high season a table reservation is recommended. For the water sports enthusiasts Barbati also has a superb water-sports centre and we would high recommend renting one of the small boats from either of the boat hire companies along the beach. From Barbati you can meander your way up the picturesque coastline, anchoring up in one of the many deserted coves where the water is crystal turquoise and perfect for snorkelling.
