Penny C, UKDate of stay: August 2022 This is an honest review. We had a great holiday but there were challenges! Villa Nitsa is on a hillside. It does have lovely views, but the hill is extremely steep. There is a climb to get down to the road, and a further climb down to the sea. The road is tarmac but the route to the sea is steep steps, rocks and rubble pathway. It’s hard going every day for a fortnight for all ages. A car would be a massive help. We didn’t book one, so nothing was available locally. The beach at the bottom is pebbles and rocks so not altogether easy to get into the sea. You need shoes! Once there, there are a couple of cafes and boat hire, which we recommend for a day out. Once on the road there are 3 tavernas all with great views. There is also a grill bar round the corner, and a music venue. All the food was lovely. We had family 5 mins away in Barbati and 40 mins away in Roda. As a family of 5 we could not get a taxi as taxis only take 4. The bus timetable took a while to work out. The times state the time they leave the bus station - not as we were told the time due at the bus stop. One bus per hour and hardly at all in the evening meant it was hard to get about. We could not meet up with our family as we couldn’t get about easily. A car is needed if you want to get around. One day we ended up booking a mini bus at €100 to take us to the water park. You can get a bus at 4.30pm to Kassiopi and one back at 9.50pm in the summer. That is worth the trip as it’s beautiful there. The busses are very cheap. So, if you are happy to stay local the villa is lovely. (Apart from the hard double bed & pillows). If you are keen to travel about then we would say you do need a car. The pool is great. The supermarket at the bottom of the hill is good enough, but the one in Ipsos is half the price!! As you are in the trees, there are lots of wasps and mosquitoes! Eating outside is difficult. Despite this review we did have a lovely holiday & made the most of it. However, Villa Nitsa is expensive given the additional expenses when there and Nissaki isn’t somewhere we will return.
Kristin C, UKDate of stay: June 2022 Overall we had a fantastic time at Villa Nitsa. The villa had everything we needed including a Nespresso coffee machine (bring your own capsules) which was quite important for us 😂 and it was beautiful, well maintained and relaxing. The communication with Prestige villas was very good, quick responses to a few things we needed sorting . Recommendations: The villa isn’t ideal for families with young kids or mobility issues, it is located on a very steep narrow hill. Going up the hill was very difficult especially in the heat and even the car struggled at times. To go to Vitamins restaurant you have to cross a very busy main road , it’s not safe. It’s a 5 min drive to Mitsos/Marys Lab restaurants by the bay, it’s not walkable. Car parking at Nisaki Bay where the restaurants are located is an issue, we could never find a space, food is mediocre and expensive. If you have young kids we would recommend Paralia Kalamaki , half hour away from the villa, the beach is sandy and shallow-great for the kids . The restaurant prices here are half that of the ones in Nissaki. The prices in Aphroditis supermarket at the bottom of the hill are non existent, we had the impression the lady was making up the prices as she went along . €16.50 for a cheap bottle of Prosecco .. be prepared or bring your own 😂 We paid extra for the pool to be heated and it was worth it.
Guy W, Southhampton UKDate of stay: June 2022 Great location and views of sea and surrounding hills. The Villa was well presented and provided all you need for a relaxing holiday. Local bakery, supermarket and tavernas just a short walk down the hill. Everyone was very helpful and friendly.
Steve R, Southampton, UKDate of stay: September 2021 This was our first experience with Prestige Villas but the 5th time renting a villa in Cofu. From this experience with Prestige, we have to say we were very pleased. Communication was very efficient. As for the Villa, well....we were very impressed! Very well equipped, modern appliances, quality TV, good Wi-Fi, spacious and comfortable. Nice showers with plenty of hot water. Superb pool and lovely grounds with a high degree of seclusion with fabulous views. Pool and villa cleaning were done regularly. Our only real issue was with the coffee percolator which was immediately replaced with a new one by the owner! We love the area of Nissaki. Nice selection of restaurants, supermarkets, boat hire etc. Recommendations: Nikolas restaurant at Agni for the best Greek experience. Katerinas supermarket for better prices and they deliver. Fontas boat hire. All in all yet another great holiday in Cofu and we will definitely be looking to book with Prestige again.
Steve H, Taverham, UKDate of stay: September 2021 Lovely villa and very well equipped. Interior and exterior furnishing were of a high quality. The shop delivery was excellent with all items arriving put away. Great local facilities bakery, shop, bar and pizza delivery.
Claire S, Northampton UKDate of stay: August 2021 Villa Nitsa was quite simply our idea of perfection. It was clean, comfortable, had everything we needed and excellent air con which was important during the heatwave. We loved the peaceful area and snorkelling in the cove at the bottom of the hill each morning. If I could live there I definitely would!
