Roger L, Leamington Spa, UKDate of stay: August 2019 Access - We had to upgrade the next day our two hire cars for ones with bigger engines(1.4 /1.6) as they did not go up the hill with 4 people and luggage. With hindsight we could have unloaded the passengers and taken the luggage up first, Unfortunately we got stuck on the hill as we met a car coming down and had to stop. We then had to walk and drag the suitcases up to the villa. Location - Handy for touring the area and access to local tavernas. We liked Taverna Agni, Panorarma and O Mylos. Pool - One of the best pools we have had on a villa holiday. Villa - Comfortable and set up for eight people. Housekeeping - Upon arrival the stairs and balconies did not appear to have been cleaned. First night one bed not made up, but rectified the next day. Both mid week towel changes were a complete mix up on allocation of bath towels and pool towels. On the bed sheet change some beds had both sheets changed and others only the top sheet. We were also expecting on a two week holiday a mid stay villa clean. Apart from the housekeeping issues, they did not distract from us all having a lovely holiday. Our Response: Thank you so much for taking the time to review. We realised during August that we had a major issue with regards to the standard of cleanliness at both Villa Acacia and neighbouring Villa Iroko. We had employed a new housekeeper early in the season who as time went on become more disinterested and lacked passion in her job, unlike previous years. We terminated her employment during the first week of September after a number of negative reviews and emails with regards to her work. I would like to take this opportunity to apologise prefusely for the poor standard both you and other clients experience
Mandy H, UKDate of stay: July/August 2019 Fantastic company, easy to deal with. Any queries we had were answered really quickly. The villas themselves are well maintained, anybody that came from pool and garden to the cleaning staff were all very pleasant and discrete, you wouldn’t even know they were there. I will definitely be using them again. Villa Acacia is in a fantastic location. Very quite no noise at all, but close enough to the village if Gouvia for easy access. Christos the taxi guy was amazing. Helped with many aspects of our stay recommending places to eat and things to go and see. What a lovely family he has too. Really enjoyed the boat hire included in our stay, it was lovely to explore the coastline. Villa was really spacious, and furnishings were all top quality. The bed’s were really comfy, bed linen felt lovely and crisp and was changed every 4 days. All the white good were of good quality too, Washington machine had easy to use programmes from a quick rinse of 25 minutes to full on 2hr washes. Gardens were well maintained and planted with lovely flowers and fruit trees. All in all a great villa.
Nicky K, UKDate of stay: July 2019 'Our perfect holiday' Just returned from a very good holiday at this wonderful villa Acacia. As soon as we drove down the driveway we see the fabulous inviting pool we instantly knew we had chose the right villa. The grounds are lovely with a great sea view, comfortable beds and great furniture throughout. We loved the location (although a car is a must) but is close to Corfu town ( definatley worth a visit) Govia beach, and a great selection of restaurants. A big thank you to the villa management team who helped our holiday run smoothly....first class service. Great day out on the speed Boat....DO NOT MISS IT!
David S, UKDate of stay: June 2018 This was a very comfortable holiday in a nice contemporary villa in a quiet location not too far from good amenities. When travelling to the villa from the airport, make sure you follow the directions supplied by Prestige Villas. Do not follow Sat Nav, it will take you to the wrong place. Although quite close to amenities I would not recommend walking. The main road is very busy and on an incline with no pavements and walking to the nearest supermarket would take 15-20 minutes quick walking to get there and a good 25 minutes to get back up the hill. There is nowhere to eat out without getting into the car. If you wish to use this villa it is essential to have a reasonably powerful car especially if you have more than two people. The approach to the villa is extremely steep and a fully loaded car with a small engine does not have the power to get to the top. The master suite was very nice with its own en-suite and two balconies and lovely far reaching views. However, the two basement bedrooms and bathrooms suffered badly with sewage smells and crawling bugs especially during the second week. Wifi was good, and all amenities within the villa were sufficient. The air conditioning in the bedrooms worked well and there was never a problem with water pressure and hot water for showers even though there were 5 adults in the villa. There was a days free speed boat hire for each week of our stay which we used once during our first week and we took the boat along the coast to Agni Taverna stopping off along the way to swim. Points worth mentioning are that you will be charged for the fuel used during your trip and any damage however small to the propellor. The proprietor did warn us that a new propellor would cost 200 Euros. However, although we had been extremely careful we did somehow get a small nick on one of the blades and scratched another. This was picked up immediately on our return and we were charged an additional 50 Euros for the supposed repair. Therefore a free day out cost us 75 Euros including the petrol. Needless to say we didn't take up the 'Free' boat hire during the second week. On the whole, a very relaxing two weeks in a nice villa in a good location.
Darren T, Faversham, UKDate of stay: May/June 2018 A well appointed villa in a good central location which remains peaceful but where all local amenities and the islands most visitable area remain accessible. Hiring a car is a must. Villa is clean and spacious and the pool is excellent. Great service from the Managers.
Alan T, UKDate of stay: August 2017 Very nice property in very good condition. Everything we needed was there.
Mariana M, UKDate of stay: July 2017 We had a wonderful time at Villa Acacia. The house was perfect for our group of 7, clean and well equipped. Very nice views from the master bedroom and the garden, and the best of all, according to my four kids: the pool! A car is recommended, if you want to explore different beaches or go to the restaurants in town during the evening. If I may suggest something to improve this beautiful holiday rental, this would be to have at least some water to drink and soap in the bathrooms when you arrive.
