‘Highlights’ – A gastronomic paradise in a picturesque bay
Agni located in the heart of the prestigious North East coast of Corfu has established itself as one of the most desirable locations in Greece. This small picturesque bay attracts an array of clientele looking for a gastronomic experience in one of the three popular waterfront tavernas. There are 3 restaurants down in Agni bay, all of them offering mouth watering dishes. Taverna Agni headed by Theo, the Son of Charilaos and Aphrodite, who opened the taverna in 1972, his Wife Nataliya and Theo’s Sister Eleni recognize that it is the special touches and attention to detail that turns an ordinary taverna into a really great one. The restaurant opens at 12 noon daily and normally continues to serve throughout the day and evening. Last food orders are taken at 11pm. Make your table reservations and arrive by speedboat taxi service from the surrounding bays and coves each evening.

Toulas run by Mrs Toula and chef Yiannis Mouzakis are reknown for serving traditional dishes with a modern twist. Favourite dishes include Tuna Tartar, the Corfiot Spicy fish stew ‘Bourdeto’ Shrimp Millefeuille and Lobster Pasta are all favourites on the menu.
Nikolas Taverna Perikles Katsaros and his family offer a warm welcome in one of the best loved and most frequented tavernas in Corfu. The building which now is the present taverna, has been in the possession of Perikles and his family for more than a century. The building was build in 1892 by the grandfather of Perikles. The top floor was the house that the family lived in and downstairs was the “kafeneion” with the bread oven and the olive press. Serving the very best in traditional Greek food, don’t miss their Greek night every Thursday evening during high season.

Viviana S, GermanyDate of stay: September 2021 The views from the Villa are gorgeous. Absolutely stunning. Outer area (pool, terraces) very nicely equipped and decorated. That is what you pay for. Location is good, too. Most sights / landscapes are in der northern part of Corfu and can be reached within 40-50min drive. Same time it takes you to the capital. The last mile up top the Villa can be a challenge (narrow road and steep curves). Inside we felt the equipment could be better given the price (bed in the master bedroom very soft; mixed china in the kitchen). Service from Prestige Villas is very good. The coffee machine was broken upon our arrival - it was replaced though within a day by the office.
Ian B, Caerphilly, UKDate of stay: September 2021 Fabulous villa with a breathtaking view. Road up to villa not for the faint hearted but well worth it. Villa has it all.
Bobby, UKDate of stay: August 2021 Our two cleaners were absolutely delightful, great welcome, friendly, really good ambassadors for you
Helge D, GermanyDate of stay: October 2020 Tolles Haus mit herrlichem Blick auf das Meer. Gerne wieder. Translation: Great house with an amazing view of the ocean. Gladly again.
Claire B, UKDate of stay: August 2020 We are a family of two teens, Mum and Dad and had a really fabulous holiday in Villa Artemis. The Villa is very private, although there is a villa next door they are secluded from one another. We are in full agreement with all the other reviews the pool and view and breathtaking. The outdoor areas are lovely. There are shady areas and sunny areas all day long so something for everyone and it is so easy to just hang out in the villa reading, swimming and maybe a nice drinkie! The villa interior is also super. It is very spacious and well equiped. The air conditioning works a treat.
Nicola F, UKDate of stay: August 2019 Villa Artemis is an exceptional property with fabulous views and a superb swimming pool, overlooking the beautiful Agni bay. We area a family of 5 with 3 teenagers and we’ve just spent 9 memorable days here. The weather has been very hot so we’ve enjoyed lots of time cooling off in the gorgeous swimming pool or in the sea at one of the many local bays. You can walk down from the villa to Agni bay (or drive and park) where there is a delightful pebble beach, beautiful clear water and 3 tavernas - it’s a very steep climb back, and you need to be fit, but the walk is very enjoyable. We spent a lot of time at the villa as the views and the pool are just so fabulous but there are many days out you could have from here, most of which are within a 40 minute drive. A hire car from the airport is essential as the villa is about 1.5km up a steep hill from the main road and the local shops are not within walking distance. The villa is spacious, clean and very well equipped. The three bedrooms all have en-suite bathrooms and all rooms in the property have air conditioning (essential in August!). The outside area has plenty of tables, chairs and sun loungers strategically placed for sun or shade and there is also a bbq area. The balcony off the living room and master bedroom also has seating - great for watching the sunrise or enjoying an evening drink. All communications with Pretige villas were excellent and we would highly recommend this property.
Maria W, UKDate of stay: July 2019 Everything you have read about the view is spot-on ! The position of Artemis really is out of this world. We had a wonderful holiday! The villa is wonderfully equipped and Jane and her team always on hand to help with any issues. One suggestion we thought of would be to provide the villa with a couple of zap bats. There were a few pesky wasps! Thank you for a lovely week. Top tip - set an alarm to wake up for the sunrise - it was v special.
