Situated just five minutes’ drive from the beach and within a short stroll of local village tavernas and bars, this welcoming villa is one of our most popular properties, with many guests returning year after year, the glowing reviews truly speak for themselves.
Set on the edge of the award-winning, picturesque village of Gastouri, the villa is a beautifully restored country house in classic style, surrounded by peace, privacy, and the lush greenery of rural Corfu. Once the home of the owners’ great-grandmother, Rossi — a Scottish lady who married a local Corfiot — the property has been lovingly brought back to life after standing untouched for many years, retaining its character while offering all the comforts of modern living.
Guests arrive through private electric gates and along a sweeping driveway, immediately captivated by the villa’s charm. The tropical gardens are simply stunning, with manicured lawns, mature palms, and bursts of Mediterranean colour leading to the exceptionally large swimming pool and surrounding sun terraces. High-quality sun loungers with mattress’s, parasols, and garden furniture make it an ideal space for long, lazy days in the sun.
The villa comfortably sleeps eight guests, making it ideal for families or small groups. From the spacious covered veranda, guests can enjoy beautiful views across to Corfu Town and the sea beyond, a perfect spot for al fresco dining or a cool, shaded lounge area during the warm summer months.

Fitted kitchen with Built in touch screen controlled electric oven, halogen hob, overhead extractor fan, dishwasher and tall fridge/freezer. Access onto the outside dining area. Electric kettle, toaster and coffee machine.

Extremely comfortable sitting room with two sofas and small dining table and classical furniture. Plasma wall mounted TV with Satellite system offering selection of British & European channels. CD and DVD player. Log fireplace.

Washing machine, Iron and ironing board is also available.

Outside: Electric gates and long sweeping driveway. Very large swimming pool surrounded with patio areas and lawns. Beautiful well tendered gardens giving the feel of a tropical haven with an abundance of colour are especially enchanting in the evening when the gardens and trees are flood lit. High quality wooden sun loungers with comfortable cushions and parasols, garden furniture for alfresco dining and barbecue. Swing, slide & see saw for our younger guests.

Gastouri village lies 10km south of Corfu Town making it the ideal location to enjoy the vast sandy beaches of the south, the UNESCO historical town of Corfu and the Achilleion Palace & gardens, once the home to Princess Sissi & Kaiser Wilhelm and where James Bond ‘For your Eyes only’ was filmed.
This traditional Corfiot village has 3 tavernas, some tourist shops selling traditional olive wood ornaments etc, a couple of cafe bars & a mini-market for the very basics. It’s a sleepy village where the bread is still baked the traditional way and old ladies with Donkeys wander the streets carrying fresh produce on their heads. Gastouri was also awarded Greece best village.
The area surrounding the village is well tendered and the location of many upmarket properties. This beautiful area is the perfect choice for those looking for a central location with easy access to the majority of Corfu Island with Benitses with it’s wonderful selection of restaurants just a five minute drive down from the centre of the village.

Vanessa H, Melton MowbrayDate of stay: September 2025 We had an amazing week at Villa Rossi. The villa was outstanding. Lovely and clean but very traditional. We particularly loved the fabulous pool area and the large balcony upstairs where we enjoyed many meals together as a family of 7. We hired a large car for the week which was a bit daunting on the drive to the villa but we got used to it after a few days but you definitely need a car to explore the island. The area of Gastouri was lovely and can definitely recommend Ellia restaurant which was a 5 minute stroll and the locals were so friendly too. We did walk to Benitses a couple of times but it's a long steep walk but well worth it for some nice restaurants and a few shops and there are taxi's at the bottom so you don't have to walk back up. The large veranda and pool area were perfect for wiling away the hot summer days and warm evenings. The views of the sunset every night were priceless! This villa is an incredible find for the price and we were talking about wanting to return before our holiday was over! The restaurant just a short walk into the town was a great find with delicious food and friendly staff. Jane was quick to respond when we needed help with something and the correspondence throughout was spot on. Thank you!

Hervorzuheben ist ein schön großer Pool und hilfsbereite Vermieter. Translation: The house is as described. It is situated on a slightly elevated position and offers beautiful views of Corfu Town and the surrounding area. A nice, large pool and helpful landlords are worth mentioning.

Martino, UKDate of stay: September 2014 Having just returned from a super holiday in Corfu, we felt we should add to what is already a list of shining reviews for this villa. Originally booked it early in the year and found Jane to be extremely helpful with her prompt replies and information regarding the house and area. She organised the hire car which we were very pleased with. A brand new Peugeot 301. The Meet & Greet service was fast and efficient and we were out of the airport and on our way within minutes. The directions were very good and we found the villa very easily. The lane to the villa is narrow though and the drive way rather a challenge, it was difficult to navigate on our arrival but we soon got used to it. Don't let this put you off though, the house, pool and gardens are absolutely stunning. The house itself has the feel of a lovely family home and not the usual basic villa you would get out of a brochure. It's located in a really quaint area of the village and the gardens and huge pool are very private. The gardens are stunning, with lawns and trees for privacy and shade, all immaculately kept. Having not heard of the area we were a little dubious as to whether we would have to use the car each night to find places to eat. However, we found a short cut from the villa through the pretty village footpaths to the high street and we enjoyed some wonderful evenings at the local taverna's on the high street, a bonus especially as we were able to walk home. This is a holiday off the beaten track, without Tourists and the prices reflect it. The locals are really friendly and the food is delicious. For a livelier evening we would recommend Benitses which 30 years ago was a disco resort. Not now, it's full of lovely family tavernas and plenty of places to sit and watch the world go by, it really has a lovely atmosphere. Corfu Town is an absolute must see town. One of the most picturesque towns we have visited. You feel like you are in Venice without the canals!! So to sum this holiday up, an excellent efficient booking procedure, a superb car and a stunning villa in a beautiful setting, probably one of the best holidays we have ever had as a family. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

David S, UKDate of stay: August 2023 There's reference to repeat guests at Villa Rossi and having spent 9 nights there in June I can now understand why. The house is an older property and full of character and sits on the edge of the village with beautiful gardens and superb views. It's very well provisioned and spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Of particular note, the top terrace faces into the sunset each evening and this became a quickly established ritual...supper on the terrace and quiet time as the day came to a close. The village is easily accessed via an alley leading from the garden and had a small store, local bar and tavernas (highly recommend the Elia Grill House) . Between these and the house there's little need for a car but being centrally located you have the whole island within a hour-ish drive. There's a bigger supermarket (Proton) which is reasonably priced and only five-ten minutes away in a car. Benitses is walkable and it's easy to get a taxi back up the hill courtesy of the restaurants there who are happy to sort for you. If you are after peace, homeliness and convenience Rossi has it all. We used the meet and greet car hire via Prestige and would also recommend. The car hire office is away from the airport so you are transported a short 5-10 minute drive away to a calm, cool and quiet space away from the airport which means you start your journey in the suburbs and not a busy airport car park. That helps! Thanks to everyone at Prestige Villas for their help with questions and superb customer service, to the pool and garden attendants who kept those areas perfect and to Louise the housekeeper for her obvious attention to detail. Highly recommend Rossi and Prestige and really want to go back already. Thank you.
