Situated just five minutes’ drive from the beach and within a short stroll of local village tavernas and bars, this welcoming villa is one of our most popular properties, with many guests returning year after year, the glowing reviews truly speak for themselves.
Set on the edge of the award-winning, picturesque village of Gastouri, the villa is a beautifully restored country house in classic style, surrounded by peace, privacy, and the lush greenery of rural Corfu. Once the home of the owners’ great-grandmother, Rossi — a Scottish lady who married a local Corfiot — the property has been lovingly brought back to life after standing untouched for many years, retaining its character while offering all the comforts of modern living.
Guests arrive through private electric gates and along a sweeping driveway, immediately captivated by the villa’s charm. The tropical gardens are simply stunning, with manicured lawns, mature palms, and bursts of Mediterranean colour leading to the exceptionally large swimming pool and surrounding sun terraces. High-quality sun loungers with mattress’s, parasols, and garden furniture make it an ideal space for long, lazy days in the sun.
The villa comfortably sleeps eight guests, making it ideal for families or small groups. From the spacious covered veranda, guests can enjoy beautiful views across to Corfu Town and the sea beyond, a perfect spot for al fresco dining or a cool, shaded lounge area during the warm summer months.

En-suite bathroom to bedroom 1 with Shower, sink and WC. Bathroom with bath, overhead shower, sink and WC. Separate WC with sink.
Kitchen:
Fitted kitchen with Built in touch screen controlled electric oven, halogen hob, overhead extractor fan, dishwasher and tall fridge/freezer. Access onto the outside dining area. Electric kettle, toaster and coffee machine.
Living Rooms:
Extremely comfortable sitting room with two sofas and small dining table and classical furniture. Plasma wall mounted TV with Satellite system offering selection of British & European channels. CD and DVD player. Log fireplace.
Utility Room:
Washing machine, Iron and ironing board is also available.
Outside Areas
Outside: Electric gates and long sweeping driveway. Very large swimming pool surrounded with patio areas and lawns. Beautiful well tendered gardens giving the feel of a tropical haven with an abundance of colour are especially enchanting in the evening when the gardens and trees are flood lit. High quality wooden sun loungers with comfortable cushions and parasols, garden furniture for alfresco dining and barbecue. Swing, slide & see saw for our younger guests.

Gastouri village lies 10km south of Corfu Town making it the ideal location to enjoy the vast sandy beaches of the south, the UNESCO historical town of Corfu and the Achilleion Palace & gardens, once the home to Princess Sissi & Kaiser Wilhelm and where James Bond ‘For your Eyes only’ was filmed.
This traditional Corfiot village has 3 tavernas, some tourist shops selling traditional olive wood ornaments etc, a couple of cafe bars & a mini-market for the very basics. It’s a sleepy village where the bread is still baked the traditional way and old ladies with Donkeys wander the streets carrying fresh produce on their heads. Gastouri was also awarded Greece best village.
The area surrounding the village is well tendered and the location of many upmarket properties. This beautiful area is the perfect choice for those looking for a central location with easy access to the majority of Corfu Island with Benitses with it’s wonderful selection of restaurants just a five minute drive down from the centre of the village.

Jane and Annabelle respond very quickly and the team that support them at the villas are very professional and friendly too. This was our fourth visit to Villa Rossi and we really enjoyed it. The Villa now is in need of modernisation, as areas and equipment are starting to look a little tatty and dated. But overall a really lovely stay. Initially they waited to take payments until it was certain we could travel. Then they were helpful with all our enquires. The villa was lovely and they were on hand to help with any issues during our stay. We would certainly recommend them.

Susanna H, SwedenDate of stay: July 2019 Vi hade en härlig vecka i Villa Rossi. Villan var stor och rymlig och i bra skick. Trädgården var välhållen och poolen servades flera gånger under veckan. Köket var välutrustat men ytterligare några bra knivar och skärbrädor hade varit användbart. Läget i pittoreska Gastouri var lugnt men centralt och grannarna vänliga och välkomnande. Flygplatsen med starter och landningar hördes tidiga morgnar och sena kvällar men vi var förberedda på det. Det var gott om små katter, skällande hundar och några höns. Vi hittade några mindre trafikerade löprundor, bland annat på vägen mot Perama. Den blå lokalbussen nr 10 stannar närmast vid Gastouri Philharmonic Orchestra mittemot Taverna To Pouli Tsi Kotas, vilket också var bästa stället att beställa taxibilar till. Vi klarade oss utan bil och beställde matleverans från eJoy-markets i Dassia. Translation: We had a lovely week at Villa Rossi. The villa was large and spacious and in good condition. The garden was well kept and the pool was serviced several times during the week. The kitchen was well equipped but some good knives and cutting boards had been useful. The location in quaint Gastouri was quiet but central and the neighbors friendly and welcoming. The airport with starts and landings was heard early mornings and late evenings, but we were prepared for it. There were plenty of small cats, barking dogs and some chickens. We found some less busy runs, including on the way to Perama. The blue local bus no. 10 stops closest to the Gastouri Philharmonic Orchestra opposite the Taverna To Pouli Tsi Kotas, which was also the best place to order taxis. We managed without a car and ordered food delivery from eJoy-markets in Dassia.
Jane & James, London, United KingdomDate of stay: June 2019 Villa Rossi is a beautiful house and very big ( a bit too big for the two of us, but we couldn’t resist that pool! There was excellent air con in the bedrooms - very welcome as the temperature was in the mid 30’s. Our only disappointment really was with the kitchen which is very small for the size of the house. It is only minutes to drive to most places we needed to go to, and this is a great area to stay in. Everyone we met was extremely friendly, and we loved the waving and greetings from our elderly neighbours down the road! There are hornets by the pool, but they had no interest in us, and we quickly learned to ignore them. We had a great time, Our Response: Hi Jane & James! Thank you for your lovely review. Yes we realise that the kitchen is not the largest, unfortunately in the old traditional Greek houses, and this one is over a hundred years old, they didn't build huge kitchens like we all expect today. Really pleased that you enjoyed your stay though and I'll mention to the gardener about those Hornets and if there's a nest we'll get it removed. Unfortunately no keys for the gate. Nice neighbors helped us with the very steep driveway. A nice place. A good bakery ... a very clean facility thanks for that. Our Response: Thank you for your review. This weeks guests called our office immediately they arrived from the house phone to ask us to 1) Assist with the wifi as it wasn't working 2) To unlock the gate. We immediately suggested that perhaps the wifi password had reset to factory settings which is does occasionally following a power cut or storm, on using the password under the router it worked perfectly and we sent the gardener up to open the gate. It is disappointing that you didn't contact us during your stay as these issues could have been immediately resolved. Glad you found the house to be clean and hope despite the very mixed weather you encountered you did all enjoy your stay at Villa Rossi.
