Exclusive to and fully managed by Prestige Villas, Villa Rossi is a much-loved family holiday home that perfectly combines traditional Corfiot charm, beautiful gardens, and excellent value. Situated just five minutes’ drive from the beach and within a short stroll of local village tavernas and bars, this welcoming villa is one of our most popular properties, with many guests returning year after year, the glowing reviews truly speak for themselves.
Set on the edge of the award-winning, picturesque village of Gastouri, the villa is a beautifully restored country house in classic style, surrounded by peace, privacy, and the lush greenery of rural Corfu. Once the home of the owners’ great-grandmother, Rossi — a Scottish lady who married a local Corfiot — the property has been lovingly brought back to life after standing untouched for many years, retaining its character while offering all the comforts of modern living.
Guests arrive through private electric gates and along a sweeping driveway, immediately captivated by the villa’s charm. The tropical gardens are simply stunning, with manicured lawns, mature palms, and bursts of Mediterranean colour leading to the exceptionally large swimming pool and surrounding sun terraces. High-quality sun loungers with mattress’s, parasols, and garden furniture make it an ideal space for long, lazy days in the sun.
The villa comfortably sleeps eight guests, making it ideal for families or small groups. From the spacious covered veranda, guests can enjoy beautiful views across to Corfu Town and the sea beyond, a perfect spot for al fresco dining or a cool, shaded lounge area during the warm summer months.

Gastouri village lies 10km south of Corfu Town making it the ideal location to enjoy the vast sandy beaches of the south, the UNESCO historical town of Corfu and the Achilleion Palace & gardens, once the home to Princess Sissi & Kaiser Wilhelm and where James Bond ‘For your Eyes only’ was filmed.
This traditional Corfiot village has 3 tavernas, some tourist shops selling traditional olive wood ornaments etc, a couple of cafe bars & a mini-market for the very basics. It’s a sleepy village where the bread is still baked the traditional way and old ladies with Donkeys wander the streets carrying fresh produce on their heads. Gastouri was also awarded Greece best village.
The area surrounding the village is well tendered and the location of many upmarket properties. This beautiful area is the perfect choice for those looking for a central location with easy access to the majority of Corfu Island with Benitses with it’s wonderful selection of restaurants just a five minute drive down from the centre of the village.

Tony C, UKDate of stay: July 2015 For the last four years we have been very fortunate that our group (two early twenties adults with respective boy / girl friends; a teenager and the ubiquitous older parents!!) have managed to yearly enjoy Villa holidays together. All have been superb but this year Villa Rossi outshone all of them. Why? Firstly; Jane who manages the Villa would score a 5 star review in her own right for her friendly, knowledgeable and helpful approach before, during and after the holiday……………..not sure anyone else could have possibly found a table tennis table for us to rent on Corfu Island!! The whole booking process was a pleasure and their car hire “meet and greet” package is invaluable. I asked each of the group for one or a few words to describe the villa and received epic, stunning, perfect, superbly clean, wow, well-furnished and awesome veranda. The gardens and pool elicited similar expressions which is not surprising as it is a brilliant sized pool surrounded by more than enough garden space to play all sorts of games in. The village centre is 2 / 3 minute walk (exit right via garden side personnel gate, through pink arch and right down the slope………left and up the slope takes you to the Grill Room restaurant and the Achilleion Palace) and its tavernas, mini markets, bakery and shops. All very helpful, pleasant and with very reasonable pricing. Our vote for outstanding taverna went to the “to pouli tsi kotas” Bistrot run by the multi lingual Spiros and Carole and located just to the left of the steps down into the village…….a must visit for all to enjoy exquisite local produce and wine. Within 20 / 30 minute drive of Villa Rossi you have as many restaurants, shops, supermarkets, beaches, views, places to sightsee, water sports, water-park, marinas etc. as any one person or family could possible want on a holiday. In summary, Villa Rossi is managed by the perfect Jane, sits in exquisite gardens which also host a wonderful pool, is furnished beautifully, strolling distance to a pretty village with a great taverna and provides easy access to all holiday amenities. In “one word” Villa Rossi is OUTSTANDING!My Response WOW!! I am bowled over by your amazing review, I would really like to frame it and hang it on my office wall and when I have a bad day I can read it and this will make me happy!! Seriously though, thank you so much for finding the time to post such a great review and to read that you all had such a wonderful holiday means such a lot to both myself, our staff and more importantly Dr & Mrs Alamanos the owners who call me every week from Athens.
Janet R, UKDate of stay: June 2015 Our first visit to Corfu and so pleased that we found this lovely villa to stay in. The village of Gastouri is a sleepy village with a couple of tavernas and bars. The local people are so friendly and were very welcoming. We found the booking system and car hire very straight forward as were the directions to the accommodation and the accurate description. Others mentioned the driveway which i must admit was quite steep but not a problem. The villa was well presented and comfortable .The highlight was the superb pool which we certainly put to use. Proton supermarket is a 5 minute drive for your essentials and was well stocked. We ate out several times at Lefteris grill room taverna, five minutes walk next to the palace and superb food and prices. We did venture out to other areas and were never disappointed, lovely beach at Agios Georgios and Agios Gordis, Corfu town is well worth a trip and we did this by local bus for a change, I would recommend the villa to those looking for a peaceful location, spacious property with great gardens and pool.
Andrea D, UKDate of stay: May 2015 Villa Rossi is located in Gastouri village within walking distance of the Achillion palace and only a 10-15 min drive from Corfu town and Benitses. The village has a small bakery and a couple of cafes/ restaurants though very sleepy in late May when we visited. It has a central location within the Island so made a good base from which to explore. The Villa is well furnished in classic style and has plenty of crockery and kitchen utensils though you do need a degree to work the oven! There is a fantastic covered balcony off the first floor which overlooks the pool with cracking views toward Corfu town and the local hills. Because it is covered it only receives the sun for a short while in the evening which would be fine in June/ July etc. but was a little Chilly in May. However there is another eating area in the garden and lots of sun loungers around the pool. Our two boys loved the pool and although it was May it wasn't too chilly. We visited Glyfada beach whilst we were there which was beautiful and not spoiled by tourism. Overall our family spanning three generations had a fab time. Thanks to Jane from Prestige Villas who helped with the booking and any queries we had.
Anonymous, UKDate of stay: June 2014 WHAT A FIND! We were really impressed with the Villa which was kitted out superbly for a relaxing family holiday (six of us -ages seven to 75) Lots of space for eating, chilling etc. Good quality sun loungers, fabulous pool & parasols (although a couple may need to be replaced very soon!) A well equipped kitchen with everything you need for indoor and outdoor dining is there, although a small card with basic oven instructions (the manual is in Greek!) would be helpful, however, we did get there in the end! Also I would stock up on Mosquito spray etc as they were very active in the evening on the (very comfortable and spacious) veranda during our stay! The sharp/awkward turn into the Villa was a bit hard going at first with our seven seater Diablo plus six people plus luggage, however, after a few trips out (obviously without the luggage) we mastered it! The grounds are beautiful, full of lovely herbs and flowers, also lemon/orange trees. Dragonflies, butterflies and birds are abundant - also it's worth sitting by the pool at dusk to watch the bats! We did of course experience the usual - and to be expected for a Greek island- water stoppages and for some reason our water tank ran out, however, a quick call to the very patient and efficient Jane, soon sorted this out. OUT & ABOUT The Achilleion is really not to be missed! Our seven and nine year olds as well as all the adults were totally enthralled with the history, decor, rooms and terraces - I'm not even going to attempt to describe it - you have to see it for yourself! Also the little cafe next to it has amazing views, even though it is probably in a little bit of a 'tourist trap' the owners were lovely! BENITSES approx 15 mins away - on first glance it looked a tad run down, apparently it was once an 18-30 venue! When we visited we found the waterfront, boats and old town to be very pretty. Do visit Alex & Tony's Taverna -lovely people - lovely food! We did visit some other places as recommended in the house 'black book' but found that it was a tad out of date and were quite disappointed, so if you want to explore, just get a map before you go and research! THE PEOPLE -Oh, just lovely! - very warm & very welcoming - we had a lot of exchanges where we were keen to learn Greek phrases and the locals wanted to learn the English equivalent - just brilliant! Do visit Corfu, help boost their fragile economy - you will be glad you did! And a perfect base would be Villa Rossi.
Robert B, UKDate of stay: May 2014 As three generations, we appreciated the spaciousness of both the internal space and garden area. There were so many places to sit and eat and we took advantage of them all! The outside sitting verandah is huge with views in all directions. The swimming pool and grounds are also an excellent size. Everything is very well maintained and the kitchen facilities are good. Jane who manages the property is outstanding and is able to deal with any queries immediately. She couldn't have been more helpful. Sometimes the mains water on Corfu is off for a day or two so we appreciated the owners foresight in having installed a water tank which easily catered for our needs when it happened to us! We booked our hire cars through Jane and were met at the airport - very hassle free. A hire car is a must as there was nothing open in the village when we were there. The access to the property from the main road is slightly challenging but the effort is worthwhile for the location with its views in an authentic Corfiot village. Angela next door gave us eggs as soon as we arrived. You can walk to one of the main tourist sights on Corfu - the Empress Sisi's Palace. All in all an excellent holiday for all of us - we hope to return one day.
Jenny W, UKDate of stay: September 2013 We have recently returned from an excellent holiday at Villa Rossi. Jane at Guardian Property Services was always very helpful with our booking and fast to respond to any questions that we had. The property is fantastic - well equipped with beautiful gardens and views from the veranda. A very private and peaceful location was ideal for exploring the island - car hire is a must. We would certainly consider returning in the future.
Anonymous, UKDate of stay: August 2013 The physical description of the villa was fine and we liked the location except for the noise, lack of running water and poor customer service. Noise - We arrived late on Monday night and were awoken at 7.30 by the noise of building works next door - cement mixers, stone cutters, hammering etc. This lasted for three days. Lack of running water - The water supply was spasmodic which resulted in a number of days when we were unable to access running water. This meant we had to buy big quantities of bottled water and flush the toilet with water from the swimming pool. Customer service - Guardian property services were providing customer service on behalf of the owners for this property which has to be rated very poor. Examples include; 1) Car hire- we tried to arrange car hire through Guardian property services as it was linked to services offered from the property. The whole process took nearly three weeks resulting in them offering two small cars instead of one large car at an inflated rate as there were no large cars ?available for hire on the island?. We were able to source a large car ourselves at a much lower cost. 2) A couple of days before we were due to depart the rep at Guardian property services informed us she was off for a week as she was getting married but the housekeeper would be round on Saturday. At this stage we only had the contact number for Guardian Property Services. As it transpired this was the mobile of the rep which was switched off (as she was on holiday). Through a bit of searching on the net we managed to get the number of the housekeeper, Diane, so we at least had a contact. In the event it was just as well we did!! Diane was as supportive and helpful as she could be in the circumstances. 3) We appreciate that the building work was ?beyond their control? which they helpfully tried to rectify by offering us another villa. This never came to fruition as they managed to come to an agreement with the builders to stop work. This was helpful but by this stage our holiday had been a bit of a nightmare so we asked if there would be any compensation. The answer was no because they legally did not have to do so!! 4) We appreciate that the water being cut off was ?beyond their control? but you would have thought knowing a family were staying in a property without running water you may have (a) Checked up on them. (b) Provided some bottled water We appreciate that other families may have good experiences of staying at this villa but not us Our Response: I am really sorry you feel it necessary to rate Villa Rossi with just 2 out of 5 stars, the owners try so very hard to provide a beautiful, well maintained villa in such an idylic location. Both the local intermittent water shortages (which have been an Island problem this year) and the building of the garden wall across the lane was completely out of their control. I'm not a 'Rep', you booked a private Villa and not one through a Tour Operator. I look after the villa and just happen to live locally and am more than happy to help guests if they ever need assistance. You phoned me whilst I was away and I came to see you the very next day as soon I returned and we got the neighbour to stop building the garden wall and she agreed to finish it only when the house was unoccupied. The owners of Villa Rossi weren't prepared to offer you a refund or compensation which I felt was your main goal, I am sorry, it was out of my hands. Regarding the car, the Car Hire Company could not locate a 7 seater vehicle during August at such short notice, they tried their very hardest, I don’t think €33 per day is an over inflated rate in August (their usual high season rate) for the two smaller cars you suggested as an alternative. I would like to assure any future guests that the owners Mr & Mrs Alamanos have now installed a 5,000 litre Water Storage tank to supply the villa if in the event of any possible water shortages that may occur in the future. Kind regards Jane
